Alur ceritanya unusual... Heroine berusia late-20s tidak biasa di era regency... bahkan di era sekarang sekalipun... kalo mau jujur, definisi spinster era regency hinggga sekarang sama saja... past 25 toward 30, you've got the label 'almost-on-the-shelf'
Back to the story...usia hero-heroine yang hampir sama, membuat cerita ini menawarkan hal berbeda, almost equal! Heroine can stand-up to hero almost from beginning. Actuallly, karakter heroine jauh lebih tegas tergambar, sementara hero sedikit samar.
Ditambah unsur surprise... you know, the Lady W, finally show up!
So, the book is about Penelope and her life...
